By year 2 children should be more able to count on from larger numbers, up to 100. There is no help with these maths pages but some children might need a number line or number square.
When counting on make sure that they do not include the starting number. For example: count on 5 from 32.
The first number they say should be 33. It often helps to use fingers. They know they have 5 fingers so that they put one up for each number they count on. 33 will be the first finger, then 34, then 35, then 36 and finally 37 will be the fifth finger.
