World Maths Day takes place on 5 March 2008. It is a celebration of numbers, designed for children from the age of 5, as they try to set a world record in answering mental arithmetic questions. In 2007, more than 287 000 students from 98 countries answered 38 904 275 questions correctly. This year they aim to set a new record of 50 000 000 questions answered correctly.
