This maths worksheet gives some practice at adding on to make the next whole thousand. The questions are in the form of:
“What must be added to 3400 to make 4000?”
Whilst we are dealing with larger numbers in the thousands, the knowledge needed is similar to earlier years. A similar question is:
“What must be added to 34 to make 40?”
The answer to this second question is 6. Use this information to work out that 600 must be added to the question above.
